welcome to our journey...

Okay, so I was truly wondering how much time I could possible have with three children, and with only the two and a big belly, it is already MORE than hectic... I thought this would be a great way for you to keep up with our growing family, and all of our happenings, special moments, challenges, memories, and so on...  and here is how I can keep you all up-to-date in one swift move... so long as I can find the time to post ;)

This is my very first blog, and my very first post... Not quite sure where to begin, so how about where we are today!

It is {was} beginning to feel a little like spring - warm 80 degree weather.  I was sooo hoping to pack up my winter maternity wardrobe, get out a few spring dresses to wear for these last few days of my last pregnancy... and then it got cold again.  Boo!  We made it successfully through my sister Jennifer's wedding, which was unbelievably beautiful and special... she and Cole are on some beach in Hawaii as we speak :)  Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Heitman!!

In exchange for making it through the wedding without going into labor, I got a very sick toddler {Ramsey} who is now on breathing treatments for her allergies, and an antibiotic to clear up any infection.  Although the pediatrician states she's not contagious, it's not such good timing for this to take place, considering I was willing to get on my knees and beg for my c-section to be scheduled for this Friday... April Fool's day... so it looks like the joke is on me!  On a lighter note, I am not miserably uncomfortable like I have been in my previous pregnancies, having only gained a record breaking 30 lbs {record breaking as in HALF of the weight I gained with the other two... that's what chasing a toddler while pregnant will do for you!}.  As for that rambunctious toddler... the breathing treatments just "happen" to make her even more hyper!  Fun times :)

Also, my baby girl Reese, who is obviously no longer a baby, lost her very first tooth yesterday!  The tooth fairy literally "paid" a visit to our house last night, and for her first tooth, Reese did very well!  After the doctor bills for Ramsey's respiratory problem, I am considering knocking out a few of my teeth and seeing what she might leave me ;)  We left Ms. Tooth Fairy a note with the tooth, asking permission for me to get to keep Reese's first lost tooth as a keepsake... and she was kind enough to do so!  You forgot how tiny those teeth are until you hold them in your hand!

I am going to visit Dr. Ram for my 37.5 week check up tomorrow morning.  This is our third and final pregnancy, so I have several requests for him, but my number one is to take this baby ASAP!  Reese was 9'12 and one week early, and Ramsey was 8'10 and 10 days early.  I am requesting 16 days early, but he is hesitant... I plan to remind him how large my babies come out... I can't imagine she isn't ready.  I have a feeling that if he doesn't take her soon, she will kick start the process herself.  I have had multiple contractions and incredible pelvic pain and pressure in the last week, and she's like a little chick trying to hatch her way out - kicking and elbowing all around.  I am trying to enjoy these last movements, as I will never feel them again, but I am also very excited to meet her.  ***A special request:  Prayers please for my anxiety about the scary "spinal" anesthesia and of course, my recovery with three small children {2 under 14 months!}.

Okay, so I hope my first post was satisfactory, and now I'm gonna play around for a bit, and head to bed.  I will see what I can do to get on here again very soon... Good night :)
